RoleReady privacy

RoleReady is an independent job-search and application assistant operated by Alex Kim.

Information we use

Google sign-in supplies your account identifier, verified email and basic profile information. We do not request access to Gmail messages or Google Drive files. We store the profile details, resumes, preferences, saved answers and application history you provide to run the service.

Optional application answers may include US work authorization, visa sponsorship, disability, gender, LGBTQ+ identification, veteran status, race, Hispanic or Latino identification and sexual orientation. These start unanswered and are saved only when you choose to provide them. They are not used for matching or included in the AI resume requests. You can clear them in Profile and save the change; previously transmitted employer forms and backups are not erased by this action.

Processing and sharing

Supabase provides authentication, database and private file storage. Vercel hosts the website and server. If you enable AI extraction or request resume tailoring, cover letters or experience-answer drafts, relevant resume text, job context and the question you select are sent to OpenAI. Generated drafts and your reviewed edits are stored with your account. Review the upload options before uploading. Job matching and ordinary form filling do not require AI. When you choose to apply, the extension can send your selected resume and saved answers to the employer's application website.

Optional Premium payments

If you choose a paid plan when available, Stripe processes checkout and payment details. RoleReady sends Stripe your account email and an account identifier, and stores Stripe customer/subscription identifiers, subscription status and usage records to manage access. RoleReady does not receive your full card number. You can manage your subscription through the billing portal linked from Profile.

Access and retention

Personal records are separated by account and files are stored privately. The operator can access service data for maintenance and support. Data remains stored until removed by the operator at your request; clearing a profile field does not erase application snapshots or backups. Encrypted backups, when taken, can retain earlier copies. The service uses authentication cookies and extension storage for sign-in and application assistance. The extension reads the current application URL, form labels, field values and upload controls to identify fields, show progress and fill known answers. New reusable answers are saved only after you review and choose to save them. It does not collect your general browsing history. We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, decline AI processing and stop extension assistance. To request access to, export of or deletion of your account and stored data, contact alexkiminbox@gmail.com. We may need to verify account ownership before handling the request.
